PSYCHOLOGIST SERVICES:

School psychologists apply skills in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.

Services include:

  • Select, administer, and score psychological, emotional, and academic tests and screenings.
  • Compile and interpret students' test results, along with information from teachers and parents, to help diagnose conditions, and to help assess eligibility for special services.
  • Prepare psychological reports for teachers, administrators, and parents.
  • Help children increase coping strategies and help solve conflicts and problems in learning and adjustment.

SOCIAL WORK SERVICES:

The school social worker provides clinical intervention to address the social-emotional need of students and empower them to achieve academic success.

  • Banana Splits 

    Banana Splits is a support group for students who try to help each other with issues of family change through talking, participating in activities and projects, and playing games.

    Any student whose family has changed through parental separation, death, or divorce is invited to join.

    Banana Splits meet every other week during lunch. 

    Participation is voluntary.

    If you are interested in having your child join the program, please fill out and send in a permission slip.
